So, today was a very exciting day – we have found out that we have been shortlisted in two categories in the Optician Awards and will be heading to the Hilton in London for the swanky awards do at the end of November!
Firstly, Clare has been shortlisted for Optometrist of the Year and I know you may think I’m biased but having worked with many optometrists over the years, I genuinely believe that Clare is the best optometrist I have ever worked with and that all of our patients are fortunate to have her looking after their eyes.
This year, Clare has worked even harder to help our patients and the world of optometry in general so although even just being nominated is such a huge honour, I would love to see Clare win!
We have also been shortlisted for the Sustainable Practice Award and I am so proud of this one as well as we have always worked very hard to reduce our impact on the planet. (In fact, we have just started work to try and encourage others in optics to do the same. So watch this space for more on that!)
