We are absolutely thrilled to report that Clare won at the Optician Awards yesterday and is now officially the Optometrist of the Year.
Clare impressed the judges with all the work she has done to promote inclusion in optometry – in particular her work to make visits to the opticians easier for people with dementia and BSL users.
We had an amazing evening, Vernon Kaye was the celebrity host and the whole ceremony was a lot of fun. We didn’t win the Sustainable Practice award but we were thrilled to be shortlisted and there were quite a few worthy winners here in Wales too!
