Well, Clare has gone and done it again! We can now add ‘Prof Cert LV’ to the letters after her name as she’s now qualified to conduct Low Vision Assessments on behalf of the Low Vision Service Wales. This is great news for our patients with sight impairments.
The Low Vision Service exists to help people who still have low vision even whilst wearing their spectacle prescription. It allows us the opportunity to show you a variety of low vision aids such as special lights or magnifiers. If they help, they are then ordered for you, completely free of charge, on a long term loan basis.
We have several patients who meet the criteria for help from the Low Vision Service, so we will be writing to these patients in due course. In the meantime, if you think a Low Vision Assessment could be beneficial to you, please contact us and we can advise you.
