Late cancellation / no-show policy

At Pearce & Blackmore Opticians, our goal is to provide excellent quality care to all of our patients in a timely manner. No-shows, late arrivals, and late cancellations inconvenience not only ourselves, but our other patients with an inevitable negative financial effect on our business. With that in mind, please be aware of our policy regarding missed appointments as outlined below.

Appointment Cancellation

When you book an appointment, you are holding a space on that day that is no longer available to our other patients. In order to be respectful of your fellow patients, please call us as soon as you know you will not be able to make your appointment. If cancellation is necessary, we require that you call at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments are in high demand, and your advanced notice will allow another patient access to that appointment time.

How to Cancel Your Appointment

We have made it very easy for you to cancel your appointment should you need to. Simply call us on 029 2054 9563 or 029 2075 4314 and the automated system will direct you to leave a message which will cancel your appointment for you.

Please also be aware that even when the practices are closed, you can still call and leave a message.

Late Cancellations/No-Shows

A cancellation is considered late when the appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours before the appointed time. A no-show is when a patient misses an appointment without cancelling prior to the appointment time. In either case, we will charge the patient a missed appointment fee of £10.00 which must be paid before any further appointments are offered.

For new patients’ first appointments, a no-show or late cancellation will result in the full charge of £40.00 which must be paid prior to booking a new appointment.
